This song was written by Christie McVie, and was released in 1975 as the lead single off the self title Fleetwood Mac album. It's easy groove and smooth vocals provide a delightful contrast to the lyrical content which blatantly describes the highly relatable push and pull of heartstrings. Although not confirmed, it's been said this song was written about the difficult marriage between Christie and John which would end in 1976. It reached #20 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart in early 1976, and helped the album sell 4.5 million copies. Not to shabby!
