After careful deliberation... I have decided to discontinue writing this blog. Musicality Matters' work is taking up most of my time now, and I am unable to keep up with the posting properly. I hope you have enjoyed reading my entries as I have enjoyed writing them. If ever you need a personal or business video or audio production, I hope you will seek me out.

Thanks again for reading, and Farewell!

Up On The Roof - James Taylor - Song of the Week #25

Up On The Roof

This song is a beautiful piece of music, written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King.  James' rendition includes sweet melodies encouraging you to get away from your troubles and head to place "where the air is fresh and sweet". This is one of my favorites and has undoubtedly saved me from lots of stressful situations. It's uplifting and inspiring tones & lyrics easily motivate the listener to get away and revitalize their conscious self, always leaving room for another's company in the off chance someone else needs to take a break.

If you're overwhelmed or run down, stressed or heavily feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders, this is a "Must Listen". Maybe you don't have a roof, but the message is just as clear. Find yourself a place, where you can stop, sit, and just BE.

James Taylor - Legend of the Month - December 2011

How Sweet It Is

Wiki - Smart

Official Website

James Taylor is an artist that radiates positivity, kindness and quiet strength. His music is powerful and soothing, and gives you the feeling that he just might know a special truth that you may have previously overlooked. The voice that he was given is that of an angel. It can be shy or boisterous, calm or aching, soft or strong. There isn't anyone quite like this man, and certainly no musical equivalent. The gift he has seems to come easily and without effort... from the center of his soul right on through our speakers, elevating our existence to another level all together.

He was born in Boston, MA and is one of 5 children. His mother's interest in singing and opera no doubt guided his musical ability. His early years were a struggle(read more about it via the links above), and his real break into the masses came thanks to the great ear of a very familiar Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney. He was signed to Apple and his career rocketed into a different dimension. Lucky for us! James is a five-time Grammy Award winner and was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. He has created a lifetime of great music and as if that's not enough, he now offers guitar lessons on his website(link above). Truly a Legend in every sense of the word.
