Ain't No Mountain High Enough

The word Legend doesn't begin to describe a multi-talented artist like Diana Ross. She is not only an accomplished musical artist, but also an actor, for both of which she's won awards. She's reached plenty of milestones in her life and career, and has enlightened people all over the world with her smooth sultry tones, and undeniable hit records.

From the beginning of her career, she shined in the spotlight. Officially leading the Supremes in 1963, at Berry Gordy's request, they sang their way to the top of the charts, producing 12 #1 singles. Her solo career brought us even more great music. Charting 6 #1 records, she became the first female recording artist in history to accomplish this status. Diana starred first in "Lady Sings the Blues", a bio pic based on the late, great Billie Holiday, which won her a Golden Globe. Her acting continued in "Mahogany", "The Wiz", "Out of Darkness", and "Double Platinum". Although her success in film was less than stellar, her musical essence continued to shine. Diana is one of the few recording artists to have 2 stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Her voice is unmistakable, and will forever float melodically above the mainstream. Whether you're looking for a quick pick-me-up, or an emotional connection, Diana will always be there, singing her heart out, just when you need her. Believe that!

Through the ups and downs of her life and career she kept her dignity and grace. Diana Ross was the woman who broke through and made it possible for the female recording artists we know today to be as successful as they now are. She paved the way! I was lucky enough to see her in concert once at a small hall, which featured a unique round stage in the center of a round building. Up close and personal. Her voice was amazing(sent from heaven), her personality was enchanting, and although I can't remember the exact number...she had at least 7 wardrobe changes!
She's the REAL THING... an original DIVA!

Thank you Diana for reminding us that there Ain't No Mountain High Enough! Ever!
